from an email i sent out earlier today:

hey everybody...

wanted to share this with you: dave eggers' talk from the ted conference [technology, entertainment, design-- former speakers are people like al gore, jane goodall, bono, etc.] just a couple weeks ago about 826 valencia and the 826 experiment/ success in general. most of you have heard me talk about 826 and what my involvement means to me in the past, but this talk-- and it is about 25 minutes long, so be forewarned, but i highly recommend it-- might better help you understand why. i was pretty moved by it, knowing some of the kids on screen the way i do.
